Leadership

“At a very young age I had a passion for the geriatric population. I began my career at the age of 17 years old. It is my desire for all geriatrics and anyone with a disability to be treated with dignity and respect. I was raised with my grandmother in our home, and she was regarded as the “heartbeat” of the family. My husband and I promised each other that our parents would be taken care of as they aged. For, only by the grace of God, am I not in a nursing home.”

Stella A. Babson

RN, BS, LNHA

Stella A. Babson discovered her passion for geriatric nursing in the seventh grade, setting the stage for a career defined by compassion and commitment. Starting as a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) immediately after high school, Stella’s professional journey unfolded as she pursued her dream of becoming a registered nurse, solidifying her profound connection with geriatric care. With over two decades of experience, Stella served as a Director of Nursing, simultaneously pursuing her bachelor’s degree in business administration and organizational development. Her pursuit of excellence led her to successfully complete the Administrator in Training program in the winter of 2016, earning her license as a Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA). In her role as Administrator at Bethany Woods, Stella leads a diverse and caring team of professionals. Her passion, cultivated over years of experience, remains as vibrant as ever. Stella is dedicated to maintaining a consistent standard of care, ensuring that weekends and holidays are met with the same level of dedication as weekdays. She is driven by the belief that residents, their families, and the entire facility team deserve to be treated with kindness, caring, dignity, and respect. Stella places great importance on ensuring every individual feels valued, with their voices and feedback recognized as integral components of Bethany Woods’ compassionate and high-quality care.
